The refurbishment of this much loved outdoor swimming pool was carried out by Buckingham Swimming Pools, Aqua Stone were pleased to be involved in the finish and surround.

The free form stone copings were replaced with copings from Senlac Stone, while the existing mosaic tile band was updated using a colourful Caribbean mosaics range. The interior of the pool was originally Marbelite, Aqua Stone coated over this using White PebbleSheen® with a portion of clear glass giving a smoother finish. The step designation bands using Aqua Marine Glass, were seeded, giving a rustic appearance.

Working closely with the client, Aqua Stone finished this outdoor pool in Paradise Blue Pebble Sheen combined with Water Blue Glass and Abalone Shell. The use of glass and shell created a unique effect giving the client a truly bespoke finish.

The Committee of Chudleigh Community Pool obtained a much sought after grant from Sport England in 2012. The funds were used to restore the pool for use across the wider community. Aqua Stone were pleased to help with the refurbishment and finishing of this outdoor swimming pool.

The work undertaken was fairly extensive. The painted interior of the pool was removed by sand blasting, a new mosaic tile band was fitted above waterline, the pool was pebbled in Paradise Blue PebbleSheen and finally the existing concrete copings were re-pointed and re-grouted.

The project was completed in April 2013 and continues to be enjoyed by the community of Chudleigh in all weathers!

BASEMENT POOL AND GYM, LONDON

“Having created a basement under the entire footprint of our home we wanted to design an impressive space for our swimming pool. The opportunity to inject colour and interest to a much darker area of the house was challenging but we were tired of seeing swimming pools finished in a plain and neutral way.  
     
  Cheap looking pool liners or tiles with grout lines to fit out the pool did not complement our scheme. Aqua Stone offered an alternative which was modern, attractive and hard wearing. The twinkles from the shell are subtle but very pretty. The colour of the water has a very natural almost magical blue appearance. We are extremely pleased with the overall finish Aqua Stone has given our pool.”
Working with property developers Mark and Joanne Buhler, Aqua Stone were delighted to be involved in the finish of this impressive new build pool in a London basement.

Their design and clever use of light and shade perfectly fitted the clients brief. Aqua Stone’s use of Paradise Blue PebbleSheen® combined with Abalone Shell gave the pool a unique, natural colour to the water, complimenting the colour and tone of the room.

This impressive indoor pool in Warwickshire had stone copings and pool walls which had eroded over time. The Sofikitis stone on the pool floor and step treads laid at the same time were still in perfect condition. Aqua Stone removed the eroded stone, and supplied and fixed a slate freeboard and copings and pebbled the pool walls in Sandy Beach Sheen.

This new, indoor, heated pool was constructed using Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) and completed in August 2010.

The pool was the final phase in the construction of an exclusive 6000 sq ft private house in Sheffield.

Our client was determined that the pool should complement exacting standards achieved in building the main property. Having reviewed a number of what he described as "jaw dropping quotes" from specialist pool suppliers, he decided to design and build the pool himself. Having researched various construction methods he decided, unusually for the UK, to use reinforced ICF to create the pool shell. This was constructed over a reinforced concrete slab with supporting concrete ring beams to the base, middle and top of the pool walls.

When it came to deciding on the pool finish, our client had already researched the various options and it was during this phase that he remembered seeing "something very different on Grand Designs”.

This existing, outdoor, mosaic tiled, concrete pool and spa in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire had developed problems due to frost and the mosaic tiling had delaminated badly.

Aqua Stone were requested to refurbish the spa using something other than mosaics.

This stunning indoor pool had originally been coated in Diamond Beadcrete some years ago, but was now in need of refurbishment. The client’s preferred choice of new finish was the world renowned PebbleTec.®

To complete the refurbishment, Aqua Stone fixed a Travertine tile band above the waterline and travertine tiled step designation markings. The pool interior was coated with White Pebblesheen® combined with Abalone Shell, creating a stunning finish to the pool.

Aqua Stone worked closely with the client to create a unique finish to their new pool project. The swimming pool was of ICF construction which required Aqua Stone to apply a Mapelastic mesh and render system prior to the pebble application.

The client chose a stunning combination of Paradise Blue Sheen with 1 part glass ( half Crystal and half Ocean) and Abalone Shell to finish the pool interior. Step designations were made with Gold PebbleSheen® and seeded to give a natural effect.
